Black Is Not One Colour
Six blacks live in the first chapter. Learning to tell them apart is learning the collection.
Wool crepe black is flat and absorbs the room. Silk charmeuse black throws a cold highlight along every fold. Glazed leather black is nearly blue. Matte technical black is nearly grey. Put them in one look and the eye reads texture, not colour — which is exactly the point.
The house works this way on purpose. A monochrome wardrobe is only monochrome from across the street. Up close it is a material study: what the light does to compact jersey, to bonded gabardine, to a hand-rolled tulle hem.
Oxblood and deep plum enter as blacks with a memory. In daylight they behave. Under a flash they confess.
This is the reason the collection photographs the way it does. Nothing is styled to pop. Everything is built to hold.
Oxblood reads as black in every room except the one you were photographed in.
